What’s new in BizTalk Server 2020

This sections shortly explains a few the most important new features of BizTalk Server 2020.

Operational Data Monitoring and Analytics

For better understanding of the health of your integrations, you can push Tracking Data from BizTalk to Azure Application Insights. There you can create views and check the well-being of the integrations.

Advanced Scheduling

With BizTalk Server 2020, the scheduling capabilities in Receive Locations and Send Ports are hugely improved. The new features include capabilities like recurrence and setting the correct time zone.

Management APIs

You can now use the Management APIs that come with BizTalk Server 2020 to make frequent tasks like stopping or starting ports, deployments, etc. easier by embedding the Management APIs in your scripts.

New Read-Only Operator role, Audit Log and GMSA support

From a security perspective, several new features have arrived with the product. There is the new Read-only role, support for GMSA accounts, and last but not least, audit trail for management operations.

New Office365 Adapters

As a replacement for the POP3 and SMTP adapters, BizTalk Server 2020 now provides Office365 adapters for sending or receiving emails, receiving or transmitting calendar events, and creating contacts.

New adapters for hybrid integrations

For hybrid integration purposes, BizTalk Server 2020 now supports Azure Service Bus Premium for enterprise-scale workloads. The product now also has adapters for Azure Blob Storage and Event Hubs.

If you want to start a new tenant program or if you never had a Microsoft 365 Admin account for your licenses please let us know and we will issue you a new Microsoft 365 Tenant Admin account. This will not carry over any previous licenses that may still be in an OLP account but they will be still available to you in your old account.
